was the first shared care center in the Midwest for heart failure patients with mechanical
assist devices and patients seeking or recipients of a heart transplant. Janet was
invited to speak across the country on how to implement and succeed as a nurse
practitioner led physician supported clinic and other topics. Provided heart failure
education at the request of local advanced practice nursing schools.
“My focus has always been patient advocacy, education and shared decision-making.
The more the patient understands their condition, the better able they are to choose
what is best for themselves.”
Janet and her husband Mike enjoy bicycling, hiking, kayaking and time with their
children and grandchildren.
